Located in the southern part of Hong Kong Island, Wong Chuk Hang, in addition to being a concentration of emerging art, has also attracted quite a few cultural enthusiasts to explore. With the intention of creating a 'Southern Hong Kong Island Lifestyle and Cultural Landmark', THE SOUTHSIDE is seamlessly connected to MTR Wong Chuk Hang Station and will debut in a brand new look starting from July, showcasing the unique cultural atmosphere and community vibrancy of Southern District and Wong Chuk Hang!
THE SOUTHSIDE collaborates with local artists to present 'Made in THE SOUTHSIDE — Street Art Project'. With the help of local street art group HKwalls, several local artists are invited to create illustrations and animations with Southern District of Hong Kong Island as the theme, in Wong Chuk Hang, which is full of artistic atmosphere, with their unique styles. These creative works will be showcased in THE SOUTHSIDE in July first, and will be unveiled in the community later. How can a feast of art be without music? From now until August 28, THE SOUTHSIDE specially presents 'SOUTHSIDE Symphony', combining vinyl music experience, DJ performances, band performances and themed markets, and will also display precious vinyl record collections, allowing everyone to indulge in the charm of art and music in midsummer. In addition, the new look of THE SOUTHSIDE has attracted 10 new popular food and lifestyle brands to open stores successively, bringing limited-edition products and a rich shopping experience.

Under the collaboration of the local street art group HKwalls, THE SOUTHSIDE joins hands with several local artists, including Brainrental, Bo Law, JasonTommy, LeonLollipop and Wong Ting Fung, to create illustrations and animations with the Southern District as inspiration, using unique and diverse artistic styles, bringing art into the community and injecting vitality and creativity into the Southern District.
Local artist Brainrental specially created a series of vivid and lively characters for THE SOUTHSIDE, with harmonious color tones, depicting the daily life scenes of different people and pets in the Southern District in a delicate way. The warm and friendly scenes of dining, leisure and entertainment, and the relationship between people and pets in the works, showcase the unique community landscape and hospitality of the Southern District.
Summer Music Festival 'SOUTHSIDE Symphony' Vinyl Music Experience X DJ Performance X Weekend Market
From now until August 28, THE SOUTHSIDE presents 'SOUTHSFreq=uency Symphony', this unique symphony is composed of four movements, integrating activities in different forms and styles, allowing everyone to appreciate the charm of music from multiple perspectives.
The 'Vinyl Music Experience Area' carefully creates a jukebox and multiple music-themed stylish photo spots. Just select your favorite music style, and the device will play a playlist selected by Dr. Allen Wong, a veteran music critic, allowing you to immerse yourself in the classic melodies of different styles. The experience area also features a vinyl collection exhibition, showcasing Dr. Allen Wong's carefully selected vinyl turntables and precious music collections, sharing musical tastes with like-minded people.
'SOUTHSIDE Beats' allows you to experience the charm of being a disc jockey (DJ)! Stand in front of the colorful vinyl record installation and strike a pose as a DJ. Every Saturday and Sunday, there will be professional DJs and newcomers from Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Lee Wai Lee)'s DJ station, sharing happiness through music.
The 'Vinyl Music Experience Area' is fully supported by Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Lee Wai Lee)'s V Music Library, with multiple vinyl turntables for the public to experience the sound quality and unique charm of vinyl records. Each vinyl turntable is equipped with a different playlist specially created by VML, with tracks selected by HKIVEL's resident creator Dr. Allen Wong, V Music singers, and students from the Department of Digital Media, and even virtual singer Vi's first album, allowing everyone to explore the charm of vinyl records.
'SOUTHSIDE Bazaar' opens every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, featuring a variety of snacks, handcrafted cocktails, specialty coffee and special blends, allowing you to chill and enjoy music at the same time.

In order to create a more fashionable and unique shopping experience, THE SOUTHSIDE introduces 10 new popular food and lifestyle brands to make a strong debut! Including Francfranc's first collaboration with local coffee brand Stain+, Hypebeans, which combines Japanese coffee craftsmanship with Hong Kong dining culture, Ignite Candle, which focuses on customized fresh food and local original handcrafted scented candles, and Pinky Bakery, which offers super popular stuffed donuts, bagels and muffins.
